Soup's On

It took a week, but we finally sat down to dinner together and ate a meal made in our new kitchen.  The meal wasn't fancy by any means-baked fried chicken, a green salad and watermelon.  If your name is Channing, you had chocolate-vanilla swirl marshmallows for dessert.  






I'm looking forward to more of this, to making old favorites like coconut curry and trying out new dishes, to breakfasts and lunches and dinners shared in this space.  Some will be hurried and others will allow us to linger.  




Regardless, they'll all be savored.  Every single bite.
